Ricky

Captain

Ricky runs on spreadsheets and momentum. He can research a part for eleven minutes, pick one, buy it, and be halfway through the install by dinner, which works out far more often than it has any right to. If something on Astroknot got upgraded, organized, or labeled with unnecessary confidence, that was him.

Jason

First Mate

Jason is the reason we own the correct version of everything. He reads every review, watches every install video, and can give you the pros and cons of three anchor chains you have never heard of, usually while Ricky is already dragging one down the dock. He is the calm in every boat project and has somehow never said I told you so, even when he absolutely could have.

Benny

First Bark

Benny is an Eskipoo who did not sign up for any of this and has decided he loves it anyway. He supervises every project, claims the best seat in the dinghy, and treats a beach landing like the greatest event in recorded history. Always on paw patrol, wave runners beware.

We are Ricky and Jason, a married couple who bought a 40 foot catamaran which we named AstroKnot, moved aboard full time, and then started figuring out how to actually live on it. Our dog Benny came along and has opinions. This is the honest version of boat life: the projects that never end, the repairs we did not plan for, the sea turtles in our front yard, and the days that remind us why we did this in the first place.
